People buy the diesel version of the maxima for the crank to make a stroker motor out of a Nissan L28 engine. You can buy the whole car for $500 while the crank can sell for $2,000.

Twenty som ething years ago, when my daily round trip commute went from 28 miles to 106 miles, I was in the m arket for a diesel. I found a diesel Maxima sedan that was priced rather low because the interior was in shreds. I passed on it. The owner told me if it didn’t sell soon, his cousin in Puerto Rico would take it. He would get seats would get reupholstered in vinyl and put it into taxi service. I am fairly certain that’s where it went.
